Compare a Jozankei day trip with one ryokan night
Decide where the same travel day ends before comparing prices. Klook 221815 is a Sapporo round-trip seat covering Hoheikyo Dam, one hour of free time in Jozankei, Takino Suzuran Hillside Park and Lake Shikotsu. The Trip.com button is one room at property 705562, Suizantei Club Jozankei, for guests aged 13 or older. They are not a tour-and-ryokan package. The author stayed at Suizantei Club on a different booking and separately visited Futami Suspension Bridge and Hoheikyo Onsen, but she never joined 221815 and did not test both choices under equal dates. Fix the same night, every real age, luggage and the next morning, then keep only the Sapporo-return tour or the Jozankei room.

Sapporo demand supports the decision, not a claim that either product is popular
Sapporo City reports about 2.488 million foreign hotel guests in fiscal 2025, up 14.1% from the prior year. That establishes a large international lodging market around the gateway city and makes a clear English choice between a Sapporo-return tour and a Jozankei night editorially useful.
The citywide figure is not an English-language count, a Jozankei total or evidence of bookings, revenue, conversion, popularity or availability for Klook 221815 or Suizantei Club. This guide does not rank the products. It prevents two contracts for the same travel day from colliding.
Fix the same night, real ages, luggage and next morning first
Write down the previous night's hotel, the night being decided, every traveller's real age, all luggage and the next morning's first fixed departure. The day-tour option ends back in Sapporo; the overnight option moves the room and the people to property 705562 in Jozankei.
If the tour wins, retain one Sapporo room for that night. If the ryokan wins, remove that Sapporo room and Klook 221815 for the same day. You may open both pages to compare, but they are not a package and should not survive as duplicate insurance bookings.

Quick split: multiple sights without moving rooms, or one full onsen night
Open Klook first when the group will sleep in Sapporo before and after, does not want to move large luggage and wants one long day covering Hoheikyo Dam, Jozankei, Takino and Lake Shikotsu. Jozankei is currently about one hour of self-guided time, not an overnight or guaranteed bathing session.
Open Suizantei Club first when every guest is at least 13 and the purpose is dinner, the selected room's verified bath, a night in the onsen town and breakfast or the next morning there. A room still needs separate transport, and the current English meal and bath wording must be reconciled before payment.
Firsthand boundary: one real stay and two separate visits, not one product test
The author really stayed at Suizantei Club in winter and used that room's onsen, dinner and breakfast. On another autumn date she walked to Futami Suspension Bridge, and on a third visit she bathed and ate curry at Hoheikyo Onsen.
She did not join Klook 221815, did not make the stay through this Trip.com link and did not compare both choices with equal travellers and dates. Her old photographs cannot prove a current route, guide, room, bath, meal, shuttle seat, foliage, snow, road, price or inventory.
The two buttons buy different contracts: one person-seat tour or one complete room
Klook 221815 sells places for the selected participants, meeting point, guide option, itinerary and cancellation. It starts and ends in Sapporo. It does not create a Suizantei Club room, hotel check-in, private bath, meal or Yukemurigo seat.
Trip.com property 705562 sells one complete room and rate for the selected guests and night. It does not create the Klook itinerary, a Lake Shikotsu visit, a Sapporo room or hotel-shuttle reservation. Do not subtract one headline price from the other because the tour is per participant while the stay is a room contract with separate transport.
For the English day tour, verify meeting, language and every excluded item
The current English Klook page lists 07:40 at Odori Station Exit 31 or 08:00 at the Sapporo Station North Exit public toilet and asks guests to arrive at least ten minutes early. It offers English, Chinese and Korean guide options but warns that different language groups may share the vehicle. Save the exact selected package and voucher.
The listed itinerary gives Hoheikyo Dam, about one hour of self-guided Jozankei time, Takino Suzuran Hillside Park and Lake Shikotsu. Lunch is the traveller's own expense and the optional Hoheikyo Dam shuttle ticket is not included. Road, weather and operating-hour changes can alter stops or order, so do not attach a non-refundable evening reservation directly to the scheduled return.
For the ryokan night, verify 13-plus eligibility and the complete room name
The hotel officially accepts guests aged 13 or older, is non-smoking and publishes seven room categories from 56 to 110 square metres. The current Trip page has generic and detailed room names with different bed, futon, area, bath and sauna wording. Enter all real ages and keep the full selected name through checkout and confirmation.
Do not convert a property-level hot-spring icon or the author's former room into a private open-air bath for another room. The official Japanese and English room copy is not fully aligned, so required hot spring, open-air, view bath, Japanese cypress bath or sauna rights need the complete room name and matching written confirmation. If a right disappears, stop rather than substitute a cheaper generic room.
Do not use the round-trip tour as hotel transfer, and do not treat a room as a shuttle seat
Klook 221815 is contracted to return to Sapporo. Do not plan to leave the tour in Jozankei, unload luggage, check in or obtain a partial refund unless the selected contract explicitly permits every part. The hotel FAQ also says it does not accept day bathing, so the room cannot be reduced to an unbooked tour stop.
For the overnight, use accepted public transport, taxi or a separately confirmed Yukemurigo seat. The current official access page makes the shuttle limited and reservation-only with a prior-day deadline and several distinct outbound and return times. Reopen it for the travel date; a Trip room, a free-shuttle icon and the author's past ride are not a seat confirmation.
Compare the whole-team total and stop on the current breakfast contradiction
For the day side, add the retained Sapporo room, every Klook participant, meeting transport, self-paid lunch and any separately purchased bath. For the overnight side, add one complete Suizantei Club room, the confirmed meals, transport, Hokkaido and Sapporo accommodation taxes, any bathing tax and next-day movement. Use the same payment currency and comparable cancellation flexibility.
The current English Trip generic FAQ says the property does not provide breakfast, while the hotel officially publishes breakfast dining. Do not decide which screen is 'probably right.' If breakfast or dinner matters, require the full rate, checkout, confirmation and hotel reply to agree. Never freeze a headline price, discount, rating, review count, rank, inventory warning or cancellation countdown in this article.
Payment order: base, contract, separate transport, then delete the collision
For the day tour, first confirm the Sapporo room, then the real date, participants, meeting point, English option, inclusions, return and cancellation; pay for only Klook 221815 and keep the Sapporo night. Do not use it as transport to a Jozankei check-in.
For the overnight, first confirm that everyone is at least 13, then property 705562, address, complete room, bath, meals, taxes, total, payment and cancellation. Obtain transport and any Yukemurigo seat separately. Save both confirmations, remove the Sapporo room and 221815 for the same day, and reopen current official operation before departure.

Did the author join Klook 221815 or book Suizantei Club through this Trip.com link?
No. She stayed at Suizantei Club through a separate booking and visited Futami Suspension Bridge and Hoheikyo Onsen on two other dates. She never joined 221815 and did not use this affiliate link for her stay. The three records are not one itinerary.
Does selecting English guarantee a private English-only tour?
No. The current Klook page offers an English guide option but says guests using other languages may share the group. Confirm the selected date, language, meeting point and voucher; stop if an English-language requirement is not preserved.
Does the day tour include lunch, Jozankei onsen bathing or a hotel stay?
Do not count them. The current page gives about one hour of self-guided Jozankei time and identifies lunch as the traveller's own expense. Onsen admission and a hotel are not included unless the complete selected package explicitly says so.
Can a child aged 12 or younger stay at Suizantei Club?
