Hanamomiji rooms: urara in-room onsen or coconoe shower-only twin?
Choose a Hanamomiji urara room with an in-room hot spring, a coconoe shower-only twin or one named Japanese room, then verify the complete Trip.com rate.
Check the exact booking option
Choose urara when an explicitly named hot-spring bath inside the room is essential. Choose coconoe when a 60 m² twin and a shower-only room are acceptable and a separately reservable private bath fits the plan. Choose one named Japanese-style room when futons or a larger party matter more than an in-room onsen. Do not use Run Of House when the bath, area, view or layout is a requirement. This owned record establishes one separate Jozankei walk only. It is not a Hanamomiji stay, room inspection, bath use, meal, shuttle ride or booking confirmation.

The author stayed at a different Jozankei property on a separate trip. That record gives area context only and proves nothing about Hanamomiji rooms, baths, meals, transport or service.

Start with one non-negotiable bath requirement
If bathing inside the room in explicitly named hot-spring water is essential, begin with one complete urara room. If a shower in the room plus shared or separately reservable bathing is acceptable, keep coconoe. If an ordinary bathtub and shower are enough, compare the named Japanese-style rooms by futon count, area and capacity.
Do not begin with price. Two cards can have different dinner labels, guest acceptance, taxes, payment timing or cancellation terms. First define the bath right and sleeping plan, then compare equal dates, guests, meal basis, currency and cancellation tier.
| Choice | Official area / capacity | Bedding | Room bath contract | Stop before payment when |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| urara Premier Suite | 105 m² / 4 | Four double beds | Observation hot-spring bath in room | Full room name or hot-spring wording disappears |
| urara Premier Twin A | 60 m² / 3 | Two double beds; confirm the third-person arrangement | Hot-spring bath in room | Third guest, bed or charge is unclear |
| urara Premier Twin B | 60 m² / 2 | Two double beds | Hot-spring bath in room | Party exceeds two or the room name is shortened |
| coconoe Twin | 60 m² / 4 | Two double beds; confirm later guests' beds | Shower booth only | Side, party, bedding or private-bath benefit is unclear |
| Named Japanese-style room | 45–75 m² / 3–6 by category | Futons | Bathtub and shower; not identified as room onsen | Exact named room is missing |
| Run Of House | Unassigned | Assignment controls | No named onsen right | Any exact bath, area, view or layout matters |
urara is the named in-room hot-spring family
The official Premier Floor urara inventory contains Premier Suite, Premier Twin A and Premier Twin B. Their official detail pages explicitly name an in-room hot-spring bath; the Suite specifies an observation hot-spring bath. The current descriptions also say the hot-spring water has water added, so do not rewrite the treatment as an untreated-water claim.
The Premier Suite is 105 m² with four double beds and official capacity four. Premier Twin A is 60 m² with two double beds and capacity three, while Premier Twin B is 60 m² with two double beds and capacity two. The Suite page contains an extra-bed sentence beyond its stated capacity; use the stated capacity of four and require the complete rate to accept every guest.

Enter the actual dates, room count and every guest's real age. Keep the exact room name, bath wording, occupants, beds or futons, meals, total, taxes, payment and cancellation visible together through confirmation. Shared baths, separately reservable private baths and an in-room hot spring are different facilities. A hotel-level onsen icon or gallery photograph cannot upgrade an unnamed room to an urara room.
Keep each urara room's occupancy and bed contract separate
Premier Twin A's third guest needs an accepted extra-bed or sofa-bed arrangement under the official detail, but the public Trip.com card summary did not expose that complete contract. Enter the third guest and real age before comparing totals. The room is not suitable merely because its official capacity says three if the selected rate does not accept the party or explain the bed and charge.
Premier Twin B remains a two-person product, while the Suite's four double beds and capacity four should not be extended to five. Keep the complete urara or observation-hot-spring wording in the selected rate and final confirmation. If it becomes run-of-house or assigned inventory, the in-room-onsen requirement is no longer established.
coconoe means shower-only inside the room
The current official coconoe rooms are Mountainside Twin and Townscape Twin. Each is 60 m² on the ninth floor with capacity four, two double beds and an extra-bed or sofa-bed arrangement for later guests. The room itself has a shower booth only; neither variant is an in-room-onsen room.
Trip.com currently uses the spelling Kokonoe and showed a combined twin card with Shower Only. That visible card does not preserve the official mountainside or townscape variant, so do not assign a side from a photograph or floor plan. Require the complete selected room and confirmation to state the side if it matters.
coconoe's private-bath use is outside the room
The official coconoe detail describes one complimentary use of a charter or private bath for eligible guests. That benefit concerns a separately located reservable facility, not a hot-spring bath inside the coconoe room. It also does not establish the preferred date or time until the reservation is accepted.
Hanamomiji separately lists three reservable private baths with 60-minute slots, capacity limits and a public price for ordinary use. Facility availability can run out, and a public price is not proof that it applies to every package. Keep the room booking and private-bath reservation as two confirmations.
Choose one named Japanese-style room, not an umbrella label
The Deluxe Japanese-Style Room with Anteroom is officially 75 m² for up to six, the Comfort Japanese-Style Room is 60 m² for up to six, and the Casual Japanese-Style Room is 45 m² for up to three. They use futons and show a bathtub and shower, but their official room pages do not call the room bath an onsen.
Current Trip.com floor ranges do not fully match the official pages, and its Corner Japanese-Style Connected Room resembles but does not exactly reproduce the official Deluxe-with-Anteroom name. Do not merge those labels by similarity. Run Of House is even less specific and should be removed when any exact bath, floor, area, layout or view is essential.
Separate room baths, shared baths and private baths
Hanamomiji guests have access to shared bathing facilities, including an observation bath, another large bath with an open-air bath and a connected bath at Hotel Shikanoyu. These are common facilities rather than fixtures inside the booked room. Connected access also does not merge the two hotels into one property or room contract.
The reservable private baths are another category, and urara's in-room hot spring is a third. Keep the three layers visible: what is physically inside the room, what is shared and what requires a separate time slot. This prevents a hotel-level onsen icon from becoming an unsupported room claim.

Shared baths, separately reservable private baths and an in-room hot spring are different facilities. A hotel-level onsen icon or gallery photograph cannot upgrade an unnamed room to an urara room.
Match children and meals to the selected rate
Trip.com says children of all ages are welcome, but a welcoming policy is not a free-stay or free-meal promise. Child price, meal, futon, extra bed, crib and occupancy treatment were not visible as one complete room-specific contract. Enter every child's real age and stop if the selected rate does not accept the full party and sleeping plan.
Current Trip.com cards include Dinner - Hatsune for visible urara rooms and Dinner - Nishiki for the visible coconoe room. A card title does not establish breakfast, child meals, allergy handling, venue or the final board basis. Compare only rates whose meal lines are fully visible and equivalent.
A room confirmation is not a shuttle or parking confirmation
The official Shikanoyu-go shuttle is reservation-only. Its current public timetable shows a 15:00 departure from the JR Sapporo Station North Exit group-bus area and a 10:00 hotel departure, but a room reservation does not reserve a seat. Capacity, service dates and current meeting instructions need a separate confirmation.
Trip.com displayed free on-site private parking without advance reservation at the check date, but vehicle-size, winter, overflow and special-date conditions were not verified. Public airport buses are transport options, not hotel airport transfers. Keep the exact arrival plan separate from the room purchase.
Taxes, payment and cancellation close the decision
For stays from 1 April 2026, Sapporo and Hokkaido accommodation tax is combined by accommodation charge per person per night: JPY 300 below JPY 20,000, JPY 400 from JPY 20,000 to under JPY 50,000, and JPY 1,000 from JPY 50,000. A separately displayed JPY 150 bathing tax may also apply. The selected Trip.com total did not reveal a complete inclusion breakdown in this research, so checkout must state what is included or payable at the property.
No usable public deposit field was obtained. Payment timing, accepted cards, currency conversion, cancellation deadline, timezone, refundability and no-show penalty also depend on the selected rate and were unavailable. Do not interpret an absent deposit display as no deposit or publish a generic cancellation period. Save the complete confirmation before paying, then keep only one room that satisfies the bath, sleeping, meal and contract requirements.

Hotel comparison FAQ
Which Hanamomiji rooms explicitly have an in-room hot spring?
The current official pages explicitly identify an in-room hot-spring bath for the urara Premier Suite, Premier Twin A and Premier Twin B. Keep that wording in the complete selected rate and final confirmation.
Does a coconoe room have a private onsen inside?
No. The official room details say shower booth only. A complimentary private-bath use concerns a separately located reservable facility and is not an in-room bath.
Are the Japanese-style room bathtubs natural onsen?
The official named Japanese-style room pages show a bathtub and shower but do not identify the room bath as an onsen. Do not infer hot-spring water from a private-bath label or hotel-level onsen icon.
Can Run Of House satisfy an in-room-onsen requirement?
Not from the checked public card. It does not preserve a named urara room, area, view or exact bath contract. Use a complete named room when any of those fields matters.
Is a visible dinner name enough to compare two rates?
No. The complete rate still needs to state dinner, breakfast, child meals, guest acceptance, total, payment and cancellation. Compare rooms only on an equivalent meal and cancellation basis.
Recheck room inventory, taxes, dining, transport and cancellation with the provider before payment and departure.
