Nukumori no Yado Furukawa or Hanamomiji? Choose One Jozankei Ryokan
Fix the same Jozankei night, dates, guests and complete room before comparing Furukawa with Hanamomiji. Match room onsen or shower-only wording, meals, children or a dog, separate shuttle seats, taxes, payment and cancellation, then keep one room.
Compare both booking options
Begin only after deciding that the same night belongs in Jozankei. This guide compares one complete room at Nukumori no Yado Furukawa with one complete room at Hanamomiji; it does not rank every Jozankei ryokan. The author stayed at neither Furukawa nor Hanamomiji. She stayed at a third property and separately walked to Futami Suspension Bridge, so those owned records provide local planning context rather than a review of either target. Enter equal dates, room count and every guest's real age on both exact English Trip.com pages. Then match property identity, full room name, room onsen or shower-only wording, shared baths, meals, children or a dog, separate shuttle seats, Sapporo and Hokkaido accommodation taxes, bathing tax, payment and cancellation before keeping one room.
Compare both booking optionsThese records establish one past stay at Suizantei Club and one separate walk through the onsen town. Current fixed room and facility boundaries come from each property's official pages. The selected complete Trip.com rate, checkout, confirmation and matching written replies alone decide date-specific rights, total, inventory and cancellation.

The author stayed at Suizantei Club on a separate winter booking and used that room's onsen, dinner, breakfast and transport. It was not Furukawa or Hanamomiji and proves no current target room, bath, meal, pet rule, shuttle seat, price, availability or Trip.com order.

The author walked from the onsen town to Futami Suspension Bridge on another date and encountered seasonal road congestion. This proves no target stay, room view, foliage, snow, road, safe path, bath, meal or shuttle operation for the reader's dates.

English-market evidence narrows the audience; fix the same Jozankei night
The official FY2024 Hokkaido visitor survey recorded low Jozankei visit and stay shares across its Singapore, Australia and New Zealand, United States and Canada, and Europe samples. That counterevidence does not make either ryokan broadly popular or best-selling. This guide is deliberately for the narrower reader who has already chosen a Jozankei night.
Put the same check-in, check-out, room count, every guest's real age and display currency into the two exact Trip.com property pages. Open both while checking, but keep one room before payment. Record the property identity, complete room, beds, capacity, bath, meals, children or a dog, shuttle, taxes, payment and cancellation without preserving a dynamic price, rating, review count or inventory message.
Thirty-second answer: named bath or dog-room conditions at Furukawa; urara or broader room choice at Hanamomiji
Open Furukawa first when a named Tsukiboshi onsen room, rooftop open-air-bath room or properly approved dog room is the hard requirement. Furukawa is not an all-room-private-onsen property, and its current dog-room display conflicts with the general pet policy, so the exact written room contract matters more than the property icon.
Open Hanamomiji first when the group needs its Japanese or connecting-room range, or when a named urara room onsen is the priority. Include coconoe only when a shower-only room is acceptable. The goal is not to declare one ryokan better; it is to keep the complete room whose written rights fit the same travellers.

Ad / affiliate link — opens the exact English Trip.com property page for Nukumori no Yado Furukawa, property ID 1647178. It is not Hanamomiji, Suizantei Club, a Jozankei hotel list, an official direct booking, the author's stay, an onsen in every room, permission for a dog, meals, a shared or private-bath reservation, a shuttle seat, fixed price or inventory guarantee.
Enter the real check-in and check-out dates, room count and every guest's real age. Match property ID 1647178, Nukumori no Yado Furukawa, Jozankeionsen Nishi 4-353, the complete room name, beds or futons, capacity, area, non-smoking status, exact room-onsen, observation-bath or rooftop-open-air-bath wording, shared baths, private baths, meals, children, Sapporo and Hokkaido accommodation taxes, bathing tax, tax-inclusive checkout total, payment and cancellation. General rooms do not inherit an in-room onsen from the property baths. The current English surface can show a dog-friendly room while the general policy says pets are not allowed. If travelling with a dog, require the exact room, breed, number, weight, fees, meals, bedding and movement rules to receive matching written approval from both Trip.com and Furukawa; otherwise stop. The free bus from Odori at 14:30 is a separate reserved seat, not part of the room confirmation. If you keep Furukawa, remove Hanamomiji for the same night.
Owned Jozankei records are real, but neither is a target stay
The author stayed at Suizantei Club Jozankei on a separate winter booking and used that room's onsen, dinner and breakfast. On another autumn date she walked through the onsen town to Futami Suspension Bridge and experienced seasonal road congestion. Those records explain why meals, movement and timing need separate margins.
The author stayed at neither Furukawa nor Hanamomiji. A third-property room, bath, food, fireplace or shuttle cannot be transferred to either target, and the Futami photograph cannot promise a room view, foliage, snow, road or safe path. Target facts come from official sources; date-specific rights come from the complete selected rate and matching written replies.

Match identity: Nishi 4-353 and Nishi 3-32 are separate orders
For Furukawa, match property ID 1647178, Nukumori no Yado Furukawa and Jozankeionsen Nishi 4-353. For Hanamomiji, match property ID 704133, Hanamomiji and Jozankeionsen Nishi 3-32. The addresses share one onsen town but have separate entrances, desks, inventory, meals, transport and confirmations.
Hanamomiji connects with Hotel Shikanoyu for some shared-facility movement, but a Hanamomiji room is not any Shikanoyu room. Furukawa also needs its full identity rather than a generic group name. Save the ID, English name, full address, telephone number and check-in desk before payment and departure.

Make a fair complete-room table before looking at the total
At Furukawa, separate general Japanese and Japanese-Western rooms, suites, dog rooms and named Tsukiboshi or bath rooms. At Hanamomiji, separate urara, coconoe, general Japanese, connecting and assigned rooms. A property photograph, hot-spring icon or generic bathroom cannot replace the full room name.
Align beds or futons, capacity, area, floor, non-smoking status, room bath, shared baths, meal count, children, pet conditions, taxes, payment and cancellation. A two-meal non-refundable room is not equivalent to a breakfast-only refundable room. If the contracts cannot be aligned, mark them non-equivalent rather than calling a smaller headline figure cheaper.

Furukawa rooms: onsen, rooftop bath and dog acceptance belong only to named rooms
Furukawa's official room table separates general rooms, suites, dog rooms and the Tsukiboshi special floor. The current English Trip surface also separates ordinary cards from named onsen or rooftop-open-air-bath wording. A shared bath or reservable bath cannot turn an ordinary room into a private onsen.
The same sales surface can show a dog-friendly room while the general property policy says pets are not allowed. With a dog, require matching written approval for the exact room, breed, number, weight, charges, meals, bedding and movement areas from both Trip.com and Furukawa. If either reply conflicts or the right disappears from confirmation, stop before payment.
Furukawa shared baths, meals and the Odori shuttle remain separate entitlements
Official bath pages distinguish shared baths, separately conditioned facilities and named room or floor rights. Confirm who may use each bath, hours, maintenance, stairs, reservations and charges. Neither a property facility photograph nor an icon guarantees the stay-date operation or creates a room entitlement.
Breakfast and dinner count, venue, child meal, allergy or cross-contact handling and final arrival time come only from the selected rate and a matching reply. Furukawa's free bus leaves Odori at 14:30 and is separately reservation-only with limited seats. Book the room, then obtain an accepted seat confirmation for the real date, direction, passengers and luggage.

Hanamomiji rooms: do not merge urara, coconoe and assigned rooms
The official room page describes named top-floor urara Premium Suite and Premium Twin rooms with in-room onsen. Count that right only when the complete selected room and confirmation retain it. General Japanese or assigned rooms do not inherit the same bath because they share a property name.
Official coconoe twins are shower-only, not private-onsen rooms. A private bathroom also does not mean natural hot-spring water. Confirm capacity, floor, beds or futons, connecting layout, direction and exact bath wording in the complete room and confirmation; never fill a missing entitlement with a hotel-level hot-spring icon.

Hanamomiji shared baths, meals, shuttle and taxes need separate checks
Hanamomiji and connected Shikanoyu shared baths, reservable baths and internal movement are not in-room facilities. Recheck reservation, hours, stairs and maintenance. Only the full rate decides dinner, breakfast, venue, child meals and allergy handling; an official dining story does not add a meal to an unlabelled rate.
Hanamomiji's free bus leaves the Sapporo Station north-side group-bus area at 15:00 and is a separate reservation subject to seats and operation. Beginning on 1 April 2026, Sapporo City and Hokkaido accommodation taxes can apply together; confirm the real per-person band, bathing tax and on-site payment at checkout instead of copying a fixed total.

Final gate: keep one complete room and save each separate confirmation
Before payment, match both property IDs, names, addresses, complete rooms, every real age, beds or futons, capacity, non-smoking status, in-room onsen, open-air bath or shower-only wording, shared baths, meals, children or dog conditions, Sapporo and Hokkaido accommodation taxes, bathing tax, checkout total, payment currency and cancellation. Stop when any mandatory right disappears between the room, checkout, confirmation or written reply.
Keep Furukawa or Hanamomiji, then remove the duplicate room for the same night. Save the room, shuttle seat, reservable bath and meal request as separate documents and reopen official operation before travel. No fixed price, discount, rating, review count, rank, inventory or seasonal view is guaranteed here.

Hotel comparison FAQ
Did the author stay at Furukawa or Hanamomiji?
No. The author stayed at third-property Suizantei Club on another booking and walked to Futami Suspension Bridge on a separate date. Neither record proves a target room, onsen, meal, pet rule, shuttle, service, availability or Trip.com order.
Does every Furukawa room have an in-room onsen or open-air bath?
No. General rooms, named onsen rooms, Tsukiboshi rooms and rooms with rooftop open-air-bath wording are separate contracts. Property baths and reservable baths do not promote a normal room to a private onsen. Keep only the exact right written in the full room and confirmation.
Can I book the Furukawa dog-friendly room when the property policy says pets are not allowed?
Not without resolving the conflict. Send the exact room, dog breed, number, weight, fees, meals, bedding and movement rules to both Trip.com and Furukawa. Pay only when both provide matching written approval; otherwise stop or travel without that room.
Does every Hanamomiji room have an in-room onsen?
No. Named urara rooms have official in-room-onsen wording, while coconoe twins are shower-only and general, connecting or assigned rooms remain separate. A shared bath is not an in-room private onsen.
Does a room booking confirm the free shuttle?
No. Furukawa's Odori 14:30 bus and Hanamomiji's Sapporo Station 15:00 bus use separate departure points and reservation contracts. Obtain a seat confirmation for the real date, direction, passengers and luggage independently of the room.
Recheck room inventory, taxes, dining, transport and cancellation with the provider before payment and departure.
