Lake Shikotsu luxury stay: Ao no Za or Kohaku no Sho?
Choose one private-onsen room for the same Lake Shikotsu night by matching the exact property, complete room, outdoor or indoor bath, lake-view wording, meals, shared shuttle, taxes and cancellation.
Compare both booking options
Begin only after choosing the same Lake Shikotsu night and making an in-room private onsen a real requirement. This guide compares Lake Shikotsu Tsuruga Bessou Ao No Za with the newly opened Lake Shikotsu Tsuruga Bessou Kohaku no Sho; it does not reopen Mizu No Uta, Marukoma, Lake Toya or a Chitose airport hotel. The author stayed at neither target. Open both exact English Trip.com pages with equal dates, room count and every guest's real age, then match property ID, complete room, area, private bath, lake-view wording, meals, transport, taxes, payment and cancellation before keeping one room.
Compare both booking optionsOne record is the author's actual stay at Shikotsuko Daiichi Hotel Suizantei; the other is a separate winter visit. Neither proves an Ao no Za or Kohaku no Sho room, bath, meal, service, shuttle, road, lake view or Trip.com booking.

The author stayed at Suizantei and recorded that separate room bath, dinner, breakfast and transfer. It is not a stay, room, private onsen, meal, shuttle, current operation or Trip.com order at Ao no Za or Kohaku no Sho.

The author visited the Lake Shikotsu event area on another winter trip in severe cold. It is not either target stay and does not guarantee this year's event, roads, buses, shuttle, snow, temperature or lake conditions.

Fix one Lake Shikotsu night and one private-onsen requirement
This guide begins after choosing the same Lake Shikotsu night and deciding that an in-room private onsen is essential. It does not compare Lake Toya, Jozankei, Chitose city hotels or every Lake Shikotsu property, and it does not rank luxury stays from random-date teaser prices.
Open the exact English Trip.com pages with identical check-in and check-out dates, room count, display currency and every guest's real age. Compare one complete room on each side, then keep only one room for the same night before payment.
Thirty-second answer: 100㎡ lake-view suite or a more compact private-onsen room
Open Ao no Za first when a 100–270㎡ official suite category, lake-view wording, an outdoor private onsen and a separate indoor jet bath fit the stay. Every suite is large, but the complete room still controls floor, beds, capacity and connecting-room rights.
Open Kohaku no Sho first when a 51–85㎡ official category, a private onsen in every room and the new fermentation-and-aging dining concept fit the night. Private onsen does not automatically mean outdoor bath or lake view, so keep only the wording in the selected room.
Ad / affiliate link — opens the exact English Trip.com property page for Lake Shikotsu Tsuruga Bessou Ao No Za, property ID 28338154. It is not Kohaku no Sho, Mizu No Uta, Suizantei, a Chitose hotel list, the author's stay, official direct booking, a public bath, a confirmed shuttle seat, meals, fixed lake visibility, price or inventory guarantee.
Enter the real check-in and check-out dates, room count and every guest's real age. Match property ID 28338154, Lake Shikotsu Tsuruga Bessou Ao No Za, the Shikotsuko Onsen address, the complete Suite Resort, Suite Sky Resort, Suite Villa or Executive Suite Villa name, 100–270㎡ official category, floor, beds, capacity, non-smoking status, lake-view wording, outdoor private onsen, indoor jet bath marked NOT ONSEN, meals, children, Hokkaido accommodation tax, bathing tax, tax-inclusive total, payment and cancellation. The hotel has no public bath on site; access to Mizu No Uta's shared bath is another property, route, time and rule. Inclusive drinks, light meals, room service and dining count only when the selected rate and confirmation preserve them. Ao no Za's official access and FAQ currently disagree on the advance shuttle deadline, so obtain the chosen hotel's written confirmation of the exact deadline, hotel name, passengers, stop, service and bags. The shared hotel shuttle and Executive Suite Villa airport pickup require their own accepted reservation. A room is not a seat. If you keep Ao no Za, remove Kohaku no Sho for the same night.
Owned evidence is real, but it belongs to a third hotel and another winter visit
The author stayed at Shikotsuko Daiichi Hotel Suizantei and separately visited Lake Shikotsu in severe winter cold. Those records explain why a quiet lakeside night, dinner timing and an accepted transport plan matter.
The author stayed at neither Ao no Za nor Kohaku no Sho. Suizantei's room bath, meals and transfer cannot prove either target, while the winter photographs cannot guarantee roads, buses, snow, temperature, event operation or lake visibility for your dates.

Match two property IDs even though both belong to the same hotel group
Start with property ID 28338154 and the exact English name Lake Shikotsu Tsuruga Bessou Ao No Za. Match ID 133686865 and Lake Shikotsu Tsuruga Bessou Kohaku no Sho on the other page. The two properties share a group and Shikotsuko Onsen address area, but they remain different rooms, receptions and confirmations.
Do not reuse the old double-slash Kohaku URL or invent another property slug. Open the current canonical page, then match the property ID, English name, complete room and arrival details. A group shuttle notice does not merge the bookings or let one property's reply prove the other.
Build a fair room comparison before reading any total
For Ao no Za, open the complete Suite Resort, Suite Sky Resort, Suite Villa or Executive Suite Villa card. For Kohaku no Sho, open the complete Twin, Quadruple or Deluxe Twin card shown for the real date. Ignore ratings, rankings, crossed-out prices, low-inventory messages and property-level icons.
Align capacity, beds, area, non-smoking status, lake or garden wording, outdoor or indoor private bath, meals, children, taxes, payment and cancellation. A two-meal refundable suite and a room-only non-refundable room are not equal candidates; mark the mismatch rather than naming a cheaper winner.
Ao no Za rooms: every suite is lake-view with outdoor private onsen
Ao no Za's official room page lists four categories and 25 rooms from 100㎡ to 270㎡. Every room faces Lake Shikotsu and has an outdoor private onsen; the separate indoor jet bath is explicitly not onsen. Complete room identity still controls the floor, beds, capacity and connecting arrangement.
There is no public bath inside Ao no Za. The current FAQ describes possible use of the sister property Mizu No Uta's public bath, but that remains another building, walking route, operating window and rule. Do not present it as an Ao no Za on-site bath or a Kohaku right.
Ao no Za dining, inclusive service and transport need separate matches
Ao no Za publishes dining, drinks, light meals and room-service information, but no property-level description adds the same bundle to every Trip.com rate. Count dinner, breakfast, drinks, late food and dietary handling only when the selected rate, checkout, confirmation and property reply agree.
The official access page separates the shared shuttle serving three Lake Shikotsu group hotels from the reservation-only airport pickup for Executive Suite Villa guests. Recheck the real date, direction, stop, passengers and luggage. A room confirmation is not a shuttle seat or flight connection.
Kohaku no Sho rooms: every room has private onsen, not identical views or outdoor baths
Kohaku no Sho's current official page describes 24 rooms with private onsen baths and official categories from 51㎡ to 85㎡. The complete selected room controls its bed layout, capacity, area, garden or other view wording and bath form.
There is no public bath in the main building. Do not rewrite every private bath as an outdoor bath, lake view or free-flowing source simply because Ao no Za has those separate features. If an outdoor bath, lake direction or exact spring handling is essential, require it in the complete room and matching written reply.
Kohaku dining, shared shuttle and the real tax total remain separate
The official page presents a dinner concept based on fermentation and aging and a restaurant breakfast, but the actual meal count, format, time, children's meal and dietary response belong to the selected rate and confirmation. A room-only rate does not inherit the full official dining story.
Confirm the shared hotel shuttle separately and keep a road alternative for winter disruption. Compare the tax-inclusive checkout in one currency, then verify Hokkaido accommodation tax, bathing tax, any on-site amount and card charge terms. Do not freeze a price, discount or inventory warning in this guide.
Final gate: one complete room, one transport reply and no duplicate night
Before payment, match property ID, English name, arrival details, complete room, area, beds, capacity, view wording, outdoor or indoor private onsen, non-onsen jet bath, meals, real ages, taxes, payment and cancellation. Stop if an essential entitlement disappears between room card, checkout and confirmation.
Choose Ao no Za or Kohaku no Sho and remove the duplicate room for the same night. Save the room confirmation separately from shuttle, airport pickup, sister-property bath, dining request and activity arrangements, then reopen current official operation before departure.

Hotel comparison FAQ
Did the author stay at Ao no Za or Kohaku no Sho?
No. The author stayed at Shikotsuko Daiichi Hotel Suizantei, a third Lake Shikotsu ryokan, and separately visited the lake in winter. Neither record proves a target room, private onsen, meal, service, shuttle, road, lake view or Trip.com order.
Does every room at both hotels have a private onsen?
Current official pages say yes. Ao no Za's 25 rooms have an outdoor private onsen plus an indoor jet bath that is not onsen. Kohaku no Sho's 24 rooms have a private onsen bath, but that does not make every bath open-air or every room lake-view.
Does either hotel have a public bath in its main building?
No. Both current official pages say there is no public bath in the main building. Ao no Za guests may have separate access to Mizu No Uta's bath under current rules, but that is another property and route, not an Ao no Za on-site facility or a Kohaku entitlement.
Does an Ao no Za room include the airport pickup shown on Trip.com?
Do not assume it does. The official access page separates a shared hotel shuttle from a reservation-only New Chitose Airport pickup for Executive Suite Villa guests. Confirm the exact room, date, direction, stop, passengers, luggage and seat in writing.
How should I compare the two complete totals?
Use equal dates, room count, every guest's real age, display and payment currency, meals and cancellation. Compare the tax-inclusive checkout total, then verify Hokkaido accommodation tax, bathing tax, any on-site amount, dietary requests and separately confirmed transport before keeping one room.
Recheck room inventory, taxes, dining, transport and cancellation with the provider before payment and departure.
