We have stayed at neither hotel. Start with one fixed Sapporo night

Use this comparison only after deciding to spend the same specific night in central Sapporo. It is not a ranking of every Sapporo hotel. Record the real check-in and check-out dates, room count, every guest’s age, beds, breakfast need, arrival route and cancellation limit before opening both exact property pages.

Keep InterContinental Sapporo and SAPPORO STREAM HOTEL open under equal conditions, but retain only one room for the same travellers and night. Record the property ID, address, complete room, bed, area, facility rights, taxes, payment and cancellation. A different date, guest count, meal or refund tier is not a fair comparison.

The 30-second answer

Start with InterContinental Sapporo when the Nakajima Park side, a 42-square-metre Classic starting category, or a selected room that explicitly includes Club Lounge Access fits the trip. If children using the heated pool is essential, pause until the hotel resolves the current official-versus-Trip condition for the real ages and date.

Start with SAPPORO STREAM HOTEL when direct Susukino Station access is the priority and you are willing to choose the exact facility tier: Superior or Superior+ without spa or lounge, Deluxe with shared spa but not Premium Lounge, or Premium with the shared spa and Premium Lounge. A high floor or larger room does not create either right by itself.

Firsthand boundary: Sapporo routes, zero target stays

The author has walked through Odori in winter, visited a different bar in Susukino and travelled to Mount Moiwa on separate dates. Those records establish local night routes and weather context. They do not establish a stay, entrance route, room, pool, spa, lounge, breakfast, service or view at either target hotel.

We have stayed at neither InterContinental Sapporo nor SAPPORO STREAM HOTEL. The owned images are not hotel images. Fixed property and facility facts come from the official hotels; live rooms, taxes, payment and cancellation come from the complete Trip.com rate and matching confirmation.

One city centre still means two different property routes

InterContinental Sapporo's official address is Minami 10-jo Nishi 1-chome, by Nakajima Park and a published four-minute walk from Nakajima Koen Station Exit 1. SAPPORO STREAM HOTEL is at Minami 4-jo Nishi 4-chome and officially connects to Susukino Station Exit 5 through the COCONO SUSUKINO complex.

These are different buildings, front desks and room inventories. Snow, luggage, lifts, station exits, late hours and unfamiliar routes can change a nominal walk. Confirm the real entrance and accessible route before travel; do not turn a map pin, station connection or another person's walking time into a room-contract right.

InterContinental rooms: Club Lounge Access must appear in the contract

The official inventory separates 42-square-metre Classic rooms, 50-to-58-square-metre Premium rooms and larger named suites. Official Premium and several suite names include Club Lounge Access, while the live Trip.com inventory also contains room summaries that do not state it. Bed, area, floor, fixed window and lounge access stay attached to the complete selected room.

Count the Club Lounge only when the selected Trip.com room and full rate, the booking confirmation or the property's matching written answer names the right. The official page currently limits standard inclusion to two guests per room and applies separate child conditions and evening restrictions. Enter every age; do not convert the word Premium, a hotel-level lounge icon or a suite photograph into access for everyone.

InterContinental pool: preserve the child-condition conflict

The hotel officially describes an indoor heated pool rather than an onsen and publishes operating hours plus a rule that children under 12 need a guardian. The live Trip.com English property page currently labels the pool adults-only. Both sources can be recorded; neither should be silently rewritten to make the booking easier.

If a child must use the pool, send the property the exact stay date, full room name and real age, then retain a matching written answer. If the answer is absent or conflicts with the rate, remove pool value from the comparison or choose another room or hotel. A booked room, pool photograph or hotel amenity icon is not a guarantee for every guest and hour.

STREAM rooms: No Spa, Deluxe Spa and Premium are three contracts

STREAM's official inventory labels Superior and Superior+ rooms as No Spa Lounge. Its Deluxe category carries shared spa access, while Premium adds the Premium Lounge as a separate category right. The live Trip.com page likewise displays complete names such as Superior+ with Spa Access Not Included. Treat that exclusion as a stop, not a request to upgrade later.

Choose the complete room by bed, area, floor, window, capacity and facility right. Deluxe can carry the shared spa without Premium Lounge; only a qualifying Premium contract can carry both. A private bathroom, bathtub, larger suite, high floor or translated word such as deluxe does not become an in-room onsen, shared-spa admission or lounge access unless the rate and confirmation establish it.

STREAM spa and lounge remain shared, timed facilities

The official 18th-floor spa is a shared hot-bath and sauna facility for Premium and Deluxe guests, with separate morning and afternoon-to-night operating windows. It is not a private bath in the room. Recheck maintenance, eligible guests, towels, clothing, tattoo and child conditions for the travel date before valuing it.

The Premium Lounge is reserved for Premium-category guests and has separate service windows. Breakfast, afternoon service and alcoholic drinks can change and do not transfer to Deluxe, Superior or an unqualified suite. Use the selected rate and confirmation for every guest; do not move a Premium photograph or menu to another room category.

Compare one real total under equal conditions

Enter the same dates, room count and real ages on both pages, then align beds, breakfast and cancellation. Record the tax-inclusive total, payment timing, Sapporo and Hokkaido accommodation taxes, any property-collected amount, parking, station route and luggage cost. A Classic room without lounge and a Premium room with lounge do not answer which hotel costs less.

Prices, currency conversion, inventory and discounts change. Count a pool, spa, lounge or breakfast only when the full room contract grants it to the real travellers. If equivalent terms do not exist, mark the offers non-equivalent and decide which missing right matters; do not force a false price comparison from two headline numbers.

Final payment order: full room, written rights, then one booking

First confirm the property ID and address. Second align dates, guests, beds, breakfast and cancellation. Third verify the exact Club Lounge, child-pool, spa or Premium Lounge right in the full rate and matching written answer. Fourth check the tax-inclusive total, collection timing and route from the real arrival point.

Finally pay for InterContinental Sapporo or SAPPORO STREAM HOTEL, not both, and save the complete room, rate and confirmation. If refundable rooms are briefly held, set a cancellation reminder and preserve the cancellation receipt after choosing. Duplicate rooms are not transport, weather or facility-closure insurance.

No. The author has walked through central Sapporo, visited a different Susukino bar and travelled to Mount Moiwa on other dates, but has not stayed at either target or used their rooms, pool, spa, lounges, breakfast or service.

Does every InterContinental Premium room include Club Lounge access?

Do not infer it from the word Premium alone. The official inventory names qualifying rooms with Club Lounge Access, but the selected Trip.com room, full rate and confirmation or the property’s matching written answer must preserve that right for the real guests.

Can children use the InterContinental heated pool?

The official hotel page currently allows children under 12 with a guardian, while the live Trip.com English page labels the pool adults-only. If child access matters, obtain a written answer for the exact date, room and age before payment; otherwise do not count the pool.

Does every SAPPORO STREAM HOTEL room include the spa and Premium Lounge?

No. Superior and Superior+ are labelled No Spa Lounge; Deluxe carries the shared spa but not Premium Lounge; Premium carries the shared spa and Premium Lounge. The complete selected rate and confirmation must preserve the category right.

How should I compare the real total?
