This guide starts after you have decided to spend one specific night between Sapporo Station and Odori. It compares one complete room contract at Sapporo Grand Hotel with one at Keio Plaza Hotel Sapporo. We have walked and eaten around central Sapporo, but have not stayed at either hotel. Search both exact Trip.com pages with the same dates, room count, real guest ages, breakfast and cancellation tier. Then verify the building or floor band, beds, occupancy, smoking status, lounge entitlement, tax and final total before keeping one booking.

Start with one fixed night between Sapporo Station and Odori

This is not a Sapporo-versus-Chitose decision or a citywide lowest-price list. Use it only after you have chosen one night between Sapporo Station and Odori and need to compare Sapporo Grand with Keio Plaza.

Open both exact property pages with the same dates, rooms and real ages. Record the ID, address, complete room, building or floor band, beds, occupancy, smoking status, lounge, breakfast, fitness, taxes, payment and cancellation, then keep only one order.

The 30-second answer

Start with Sapporo Grand if the dedicated entrance beside Sapporo Underground Pedestrian Space Exit 8 or a specifically named Grand in Grand or Executive room matters. A stay in the same hotel does not give every room the same space or lounge.

Start with Keio Plaza if the JR Station west-side route and its Standard, Superior, Comfort, Premier and Plaza floor bands fit your trip. Lounge access follows Plaza and eligible Premier plans, not the words high floor by themselves.

Our firsthand boundary: central Sapporo, not either hotel

The author walked Odori on a winter night and ate near Sapporo Station and the Clock Tower on other dates. Those records show that central Sapporo still requires choices about winter streets, underground entrances, luggage and meal time.

We have not stayed at either hotel and have not used their rooms, Club Lounge, breakfast, fitness, pool, parking or Trip.com order. The Odori photograph is not either building or room view, and nearby meals do not prove hotel dining or service.

Confirm two different property identities

For Sapporo Grand, match property ID 993375, the English name and Kita 1 Nishi 4. For Keio Plaza, match property ID 993365, the English name and Kita 5 Nishi 7-2-1. They do not share an entrance, front desk, room inventory or confirmation.

Similar brand names appear in other cities and list pages. Before payment and departure, align the ID, formal name, address, phone, full room name, check-in desk and one confirmation. Stop if any identity element differs.

Underground entrance and JR west-side route solve different needs

Sapporo Grand officially identifies its dedicated basement entrance beside Underground Pedestrian Space Exit 8. That is useful in rain or winter, but does not prove a zero-outdoor, lift-free or easy ski-equipment route from every train platform.

Keio Plaza publishes a walking route from JR Sapporo Station’s west gate and south side. Put your next train, university-side plans, Odori dinner, luggage and weather into the timeline rather than using one map minute as a guarantee.

Open complete room cards under equal conditions

At Sapporo Grand, read the complete Main, East, Grand in Grand, Executive, Comfort, Grand Classic or Standard room. At Keio Plaza, read Standard, Superior, Comfort, Premier, Plaza and the complete room name. Building, floor, bed, occupancy, area, window, smoking, bath, connecting option and lounge must align.

If one side includes breakfast or free cancellation and the other does not, the totals are not comparable. Match ages, breakfast, lounge, fitness, taxes, payment and cancellation before treating a price difference as meaningful.

Sapporo Grand: building and floor do not create lounge access

The official inventory separates Grand in Grand and Executive from Comfort, Grand Classic and Standard, and its floor guide separates the Main, East and Annex buildings. Apply beds, smoking status, area and bathroom only to the selected complete room.

Executive Lounge belongs to Grand in Grand and Executive rooms. An East Building room, high floor, suite label or hotel-level lounge page cannot add access when the selected Trip rate and property confirmation omit it.

Keio Plaza: five floor bands do not make all fitness and lounge rights equal

Keio Plaza separates Standard 5–11F, Superior 12–14F, Comfort 15–17F, Premier 18–20F and Plaza 21F. Family, four-bed, view-bath and suite-style names still have their own beds, occupancy, area and bathroom conditions.

Official Club Lounge scope is Plaza and eligible Premier plans, with Premier exceptions. Pool, gym, bath and sauna have separate age, closure, fee or Plaza-benefit conditions. A facility icon is not free access for every guest.

Breakfast, children, tax and transport remain separate

Both hotels publish breakfast choices, but restaurant information does not put breakfast into every Trip rate. Compare the same adult and child meal count and confirm venue, time, allergies, strict diets and cross-contact before travel.

Check whether Sapporo and Hokkaido accommodation taxes are included or payable on site. A room is not a JR, subway, airport-bus or taxi ticket, parking space, luggage-delivery order, restaurant reservation or activity.

Final payment order: confirm the full contract, then keep one room

Recheck the ID, English name, address, dates, ages, complete room, building or floor, beds, occupancy, smoking status, bathroom, lounge, breakfast, fitness, taxes, total, payment and cancellation. Stop when an essential lounge or room right is missing from the rate and matching property response.

After choosing Sapporo Grand, remove Keio Plaza for the same night; after choosing Keio Plaza, remove Sapporo Grand. Keep rail, subway, airport bus, parking, luggage, restaurants and activities as separate confirmations.

No. The author has walked around Sapporo Station, Odori and the Clock Tower and eaten nearby on separate dates, but has not stayed at either hotel or booked it through these links.

Does every Sapporo Grand Hotel room include Executive Lounge access?

No. The hotel limits Executive Lounge access to Grand in Grand and Executive rooms. Do not add it to another room unless the complete selected rate and matching property confirmation state it.

Does every high-floor Keio Plaza room include Club Lounge access?

Which hotel is easier with luggage or winter weather?

How should I compare the real total?

Use equal dates, rooms, real ages, complete room, breakfast and cancellation. Then verify Sapporo and Hokkaido taxes, lounge and fitness conditions, and any on-site payment. Keep rail, subway, airport bus, parking, luggage and restaurants separate.
