Dai-ichi Takimotokan or Hotel Mahoroba? Choose one Noboribetsu onsen room

Compare the same Noboribetsu night at Dai-ichi Takimotokan and Hotel Mahoroba by exact wing or suite, in-room onsen, communal baths, meals, dogs, taxes, transport and cancellation; then keep one complete room.

The author's own Lake Toya sightseeing-boat photograph, not Noboribetsu, Dai-ichi Takimotokan or Hotel Mahoroba
The author rode the Lake Toya sightseeing boat several times and ate twice at a separate Lake Toya Onsen restaurant, but stayed at neither target hotel. This image proves no Noboribetsu room, onsen, meal, transport, dog room or Trip.com order.

Start only after fixing the same night in Noboribetsu Onsen. At Dai-ichi Takimotokan, separate the East, Main, West and South building rooms from the named West Building rooms with an open-air hot-spring bath and from the large shared bath using five spring sources. At Hotel Mahoroba, separate ordinary rooms from the named 64㎡ source-fed open-air-bath suites and from the 31 shared baths across B1 and B2. The author stayed at neither hotel. Enter equal dates, room count and every guest's real age on both exact English Trip.com property pages, then match property identity, complete room, beds or futons, capacity, in-room onsen, meals, children, pets, Hokkaido accommodation tax, Noboribetsu bathing tax, transport, payment and cancellation before keeping one room.

TWO OWNED TOYA RECORDS / ZERO STAYS AT EITHER NOBORIBETSU HOTELThe author visited Lake Toya but stayed at neither Noboribetsu hotel

The two records cover separate Lake Toya boat rides and meals. They are not firsthand Noboribetsu or target-hotel evidence and do not evaluate either room, public bath, meal, service, dog room or transport. Current first-party pages control fixed facility boundaries; the complete selected English Trip.com rate and a matching written hotel reply control date-specific rooms, inclusions, taxes, payment and cancellation.

Lake Toya sightseeing boat — ridden several times by the author

The author rode the Lake Toya sightseeing boat on separate trips and recorded a summer Nakajima stop. That is a different Lake Toya activity, not a Noboribetsu visit or evidence of either target hotel's room, onsen, meal, transport, pet policy, inventory or Trip.com order.

Boyotei in Lake Toya Onsen — eaten at twice by the author

The author ate twice at Boyotei, a separate Lake Toya Onsen restaurant. It is not breakfast or dinner at Dai-ichi Takimotokan or Hotel Mahoroba and proves no room, service, Jigokudani route, shuttle or current rate.

Firsthand evidence is limited to separate Lake Toya sightseeing-boat rides and Boyotei meals. The author stayed at neither Dai-ichi Takimotokan nor Hotel Mahoroba and does not use these records to claim a Noboribetsu visit. Current first-party pages control property, room, onsen, meal, transport and pet boundaries; the complete selected English Trip.com rate and matching written replies alone control date-specific inventory, inclusions, taxes, payment and cancellation.

01

Fix one Noboribetsu night before comparing the two rooms

This guide does not rank every Hokkaido onsen town and does not reopen the choice between a Sapporo day trip and a Noboribetsu night. Begin only after fixing the actual check-in and check-out dates, room count, every guest's real age, luggage, meals, in-room onsen need, dog and next fixed departure for one Noboribetsu Onsen night.

Enter the same details on both English Trip.com property pages. Put the property ID, complete building or suite room name, beds or futons, capacity, area, non-smoking status, bathroom, meals, children, pets, taxes, payment and cancellation in one table. You may compare two tabs, but keep only one room for the same night.

02

Thirty-second answer: building choice and five sources, or 31 shared baths and a named suite

Start with Dai-ichi Takimotokan when the priority is choosing among several building-specific room contracts and using its large shared bath supplied by five spring sources. If a private natural open-air bath is essential, keep only a complete current West Building Premium Twin or Premium Corner Twin candidate that explicitly preserves that right.

Start with Hotel Mahoroba when the 31 shared baths using four sources are the priority, or when a complete named 64㎡ source-fed open-air-bath suite is available. An ordinary Japanese, Western or Japanese-Western room does not become a private-onsen suite because the hotel has a large shared bath. Neither property is an automatic winner for every party.

It is not Hotel Mahoroba, a Noboribetsu hotel list, an official direct booking, the author's stay, Lake Toya, Jigokudani admission, JR or bus transport, a shuttle seat, an in-room natural open-air bath or Jigokudani view in every room, meals, pool operation, dog acceptance, or a guarantee of price or inventory.

Enter the real check-in and check-out dates, room count and every guest's real age. Match property ID 842622, Dai-ichi Takimotokan, Noboribetsuonsencho 55, the complete East, Main, West or South Building room name, beds or futons, capacity, area, window, non-smoking status, private bathroom, in-room open-air hot-spring bath, meals, children, Hokkaido accommodation tax, Noboribetsu bathing tax, tax-inclusive total, payment and cancellation. Count an in-room natural onsen only when the complete selected room and confirmation explicitly preserve it, such as Premium Twin with Open-Air Hot Spring Bath-West BLD or Premium Corner Twin with Open-Air Hot Spring Bath-West BLD; do not promote another bathtub or the communal Grand Bath. Trip currently states that pets are not allowed while the same English surface lists an East Hall Premium Doggy Suite and the official FAQ separately identifies four East and six South dog rooms for dogs up to 15 kg. If travelling with a dog, stop before payment unless the exact dog-room name, vaccination, carry-case, meal and movement rules, charges, and a matching written property approval all agree. A room is not a bus seat. If this room survives, remove Mahoroba for the same night.

03

Firsthand boundary: Lake Toya visits are not Noboribetsu hotel stays

The author rode the Lake Toya sightseeing boat several times, including a separate summer Nakajima stop, and ate twice at Boyotei in Lake Toya Onsen. Those records establish only another lake activity and restaurant visit and help keep Lake Toya and Noboribetsu as separate places, dates and contracts.

The author stayed at neither Dai-ichi Takimotokan nor Hotel Mahoroba and does not use these records to claim a Noboribetsu visit. The six photographs are not either entrance, room, onsen, meal, service, winter road, bus, dog room, inventory or booking. Target-hotel claims therefore come from current first-party and selected booking pages.

An empty outdoor deck photographed by the author on a separate Lake Toya sightseeing-boat ride
A separate Lake Toya boat record, not either Noboribetsu hotel and not proof of a current vessel, seat, sailing or hotel transfer.
Wake photographed by the author after departure on a separate Lake Toya sightseeing-boat ride
Wake from a separate cruise, not evidence of a hotel shuttle, room view, travel-date weather or transport to Noboribetsu.
Shallow Lake Toya shore water and stones photographed by the author on another visit
This is Lake Toya shoreline, not either hotel's bath, swimming pool, onsen water or a bathing area.
Lake and birds photographed by the author from a Lake Toya sightseeing boat
A separate Lake Toya scene, not a Noboribetsu activity, hotel feature, wildlife promise or travel-date view.
Lake Toya landscape photographed by the author during a separate Boyotei visit
A lake view from another restaurant visit, not either target room's outlook, floor, weather or Jigokudani view.
Tarako pasta eaten and photographed by the author at the separate Boyotei restaurant
Food from Boyotei, not either hotel's buffet, kaiseki or room dining and not proof of a current menu, price or inclusion.
04

Separate the identities: Noboribetsuonsencho 55 and 65 are different orders

For Dai-ichi Takimotokan, match property ID 842622, the English name Dai-ichi Takimotokan and Noboribetsuonsencho 55. For Hotel Mahoroba, match property ID 704188, the English name Hotel Mahoroba and Noboribetsuonsencho 65. Sharing the same onsen town does not create one front desk, room inventory, bath, restaurant or confirmation.

Use official maps and travel-date transport for JR Noboribetsu Station, the correct bus stop, snow, luggage and the route before or after Jigokudani. A straight-line map distance or nearby-attraction count does not guarantee platform-to-room time, a step-free route or bus connection. Stop if the name, ID or full address does not match.

05

Choose Dai-ichi Takimotokan by building and complete room name

Current first-party and English Trip.com surfaces separate rooms in the East, Main, West and South buildings. Japanese, twin, Japanese-Western, universal and premium candidates can differ in beds or futons, capacity, area, window, floor and bathroom. A hotel hero photograph or run-of-house allocation cannot create the building and layout you need.

An in-room natural onsen depends on the complete room. The current West Building Premium Twin and Premium Corner Twin candidates explicitly state an open-air hot-spring bath; another room's private bathroom is a different contract. The official FAQ also distinguishes ordinary room baths using heated water, so neither a property onsen icon nor the shared bath can be moved into the room.

06

Treat Takimotokan's shared bath, meals and dog rooms as separate conditions

The official shared bath uses five spring sources and includes multiple communal baths and sauna facilities, but travel-date cleaning, gender areas, children, tattoos, health, alcohol and pool rules still need separate confirmation. Buffet, kaiseki, room dining, breakfast and room-only plans also differ; only the complete selected rate and confirmation purchase a meal.

Dog travel is a hard stop. Trip's general policy currently says pets are prohibited, while the hotel FAQ identifies four East and six South dog rooms for dogs up to 15 kg with vaccination, carry-case and room-specific meal rules. Do not enter a false guest profile or book an ordinary room. Require the exact dog-friendly room and the hotel's matching written approval; other pets are not accepted.

07

Keep Mahoroba's ordinary rooms separate from the named 64㎡ suites

Mahoroba's official ordinary inventory separates Japanese, Western, Japanese-Western and connecting rooms with different areas, beds or futons and capacities. English Trip.com cards also vary by room, floor, non-smoking status and bathroom. Save the complete room rather than the hotel name or a generic photograph.

The official source-fed open-air-bath inventory names 64㎡ suites including Enju, Kunugi, Mukuge, Kaede, Nire and Nara, with different occupancy and bedding. Count the in-room onsen only when the complete Trip room, checkout, confirmation and official suite agree. If that suite is unavailable for the actual night, do not promote an ordinary room.

08

Mahoroba's 31 shared baths, meals and reservation bus do not merge with the room

Mahoroba's official pages describe 31 shared baths using four spring sources across B1 and B2. That is the scale of a communal facility, not 31 baths inside an ordinary room or proof that every bath operates at once. Recheck gender rotation, cleaning, children, tattoos, accessibility and health rules for the stay.

Meal venues and plans differ, so the selected rate alone determines meal count, place and time. The Sapporo Mahoroba-go is a separate paid, reservation-only seat and may stop operating or fill. Obtain a separate confirmation for the actual date, direction, boarding point, every passenger and luggage; a room confirmation cannot create a bus seat.

09

Put meals, children, both taxes and transport into the same total

Use equal dates, room count, real ages, display and payment currency, meals and cancellation. Confirm that the actual beds or futons fit the party, then verify child rates and meals, allergies, strict dietary requirements and the last arrival time for dinner. A breakfast icon or buffet photograph does not add two meals to every rate.

Hokkaido applies accommodation tax from April 2026, while Noboribetsu City publishes a bathing tax for ordinary lodging guests and exemptions including children under 12. Confirm the actual amount, online inclusion and on-site payment at checkout and in the confirmation. JR, route buses, reservation buses, taxis and parking remain outside the room unless explicitly purchased.

10

Final gate: verify one complete room and separate transport, then remove the other

Before payment, reread the property ID, English name, full address, building or suite, complete room name, beds or futons, capacity, area, non-smoking status, private bathroom or natural onsen, shared bath, meals, children, pets, accommodation and bathing taxes, final total, payment and cancellation. Treat prices, discounts, ratings, reviews, rankings and remaining inventory as checkout-time facts only.

After Dai-ichi Takimotokan wins, remove Mahoroba for that night; after Mahoroba wins, remove Takimotokan. Save the final room confirmation, matching hotel replies, separate transport confirmation and any cancellation receipt. If the room onsen, dog room, meal, tax, transport or cancellation still depends on an assumption, change rooms or stop before payment.

FAQ

Hotel comparison FAQ

Did the author stay at Dai-ichi Takimotokan or Hotel Mahoroba?

No. The author's firsthand records are separate Lake Toya boat rides and Boyotei meals. They do not prove a Noboribetsu visit or a stay, room, onsen, meal, service, transport, dog room or Trip.com order at either target.

Does every Dai-ichi Takimotokan room have a natural open-air onsen?

No. Count it only when the complete selected room and saved confirmation explicitly preserve an open-air hot-spring bath, such as the current West Building Premium Twin or Premium Corner Twin candidates. Another private bathtub and the shared bath are different rights.

Can I stay at Dai-ichi Takimotokan with a dog?

Do not book an ordinary room on that assumption. Trip's general policy says pets are prohibited, while the hotel FAQ identifies four East and six South dog rooms for dogs up to 15 kg with vaccination, carry-case and meal rules. Require the exact dog-friendly room and matching written hotel approval before payment. Other pets are not accepted.

Does every Hotel Mahoroba room have a source-fed open-air bath and 31 baths?

No. The 31 baths using four spring sources are shared facilities across B1 and B2. Count an in-room source-fed open-air bath only when the complete selected room, confirmation and official named 64㎡ suite agree; do not promote an ordinary room bathtub.

How do I compare meals, taxes and transport in the real total?

Use equal dates, room count, real ages, display and payment currency, complete rooms, meals and cancellation. Compare the final checkout total plus Hokkaido accommodation tax, Noboribetsu bathing tax and any on-site payment. JR, route buses, reservation buses, taxis and parking are separate. Keep only one room for the same night.

Safe travels.
