Choose one room for the same Noboribetsu night by matching every guest's age, the complete room name, D or DW open-air bath, an adult-only suite and outlook bath, smoking status, meals, taxes, transport and cancellation.
This guide begins after you have already chosen one night in Noboribetsu Onsen. It compares one complete Takinoya room with one complete room at adult-only Bourou Noguchi. The author has first-hand records from separate Lake Toya trips, but stayed at neither target and does not use those records as a Noboribetsu stay. Enter equal dates, room count and every guest’s real age on both exact English Trip.com pages; then match identity, full room name, D or DW open-air bath, suite and source-fed outlook bath, smoking status, meals, Hokkaido accommodation tax, Noboribetsu bathing tax, transport, payment and cancellation before keeping one room.
Each record below establishes only the experience named on its card. It is not a review, booking confirmation or evidence of rooms, baths, meals, transport or views at either target property.
The author rode the Lake Toya sightseeing boat on separate trips and recorded a summer stop at Nakajima. This establishes only a different Lake Toya activity and route boundary. It is not a Noboribetsu visit or evidence of Takinoya, Bourou Noguchi, a room, onsen, meal, child policy, shuttle or Trip.com order.
The author ate at Boyotei in Lake Toya Onsen twice. That is another meal at another address, not dinner or breakfast at either target, a Noboribetsu ryokan stay, room, service, transport or current rate.

Fix one Noboribetsu night before comparing rooms
This is not a ranking of every Noboribetsu hotel and it does not decide whether you should stay overnight or return to Sapporo. Begin only after the same night is fixed in Noboribetsu Onsen. Open the two exact English Trip.com property pages with equal check-in and check-out dates, room count and every guest’s real age; different inputs do not produce comparable rooms or totals.
Keep both pages open while comparing, but keep only one room before payment. Put property ID, English name, address, complete room name, beds, capacity, area, D or DW open-air bath, suite, source-fed outlook bath, age, smoking status, meals, Hokkaido accommodation tax, Noboribetsu bathing tax, transport, payment and cancellation in one table. Do not preserve a current price, rating, review count, ranking, discount or remaining inventory in the guide.
Thirty-second answer: exclude Bourou for children aged 12 or younger
If any guest is aged 12 or younger, including an infant or toddler, the hotel’s first-party rule excludes Bourou. Start with Takinoya, then confirm that the exact room, bedding, meals and child charges accept the real party. Trip’s broad statement that Takinoya welcomes children of all ages is not proof that every room or rate accepts every party.
When every guest clears the Bourou age gate, look at the room contract. Start with Takinoya if you want its traditional room categories and only a named D or DW candidate when an in-room open-air bath is essential. Start with Bourou if you want a property whose official inventory is entirely 50㎡-or-larger suites with source-fed in-room outlook baths. If non-smoking is essential, do not keep a Bourou room whose complete Trip name says smoking.

Enter the real check-in and check-out dates, room count and every guest’s real age. Match property ID 1647140, the English name Noboribetsu Onsenkyo Takinoya, the Noboribetsuonsencho 162 address, the complete AY, AW, CY, Cw, D or DW room name, beds or futons, capacity, area, window, non-smoking status, private bathroom, in-room open-air bath, meals, children, Hokkaido accommodation tax, Noboribetsu bathing tax, tax-inclusive checkout total, payment and cancellation. First set both hotel pages to the same display and payment currency; a page conversion, card charge currency and issuer exchange rate can differ, so only the payment page and card terms decide the final charge. Count an in-room open-air bath only when the complete selected room name and confirmation explicitly preserve it, such as the D or DW candidates. A private bathroom, bathtub, public bath or property hot-spring icon cannot promote AY or CY to that contract. Trip currently says children of all ages are welcome, but the selected room, rate, bedding, meals and child charges still require a matching written answer. If you keep Takinoya, remove Bourou Noguchi for the same night.
First-hand boundary: the author visited Lake Toya, not either target ryokan
The author has taken the Lake Toya sightseeing boat several times and eaten at Boyotei in Lake Toya Onsen twice. Those records are useful only for separating a Lake Toya activity, meal and a later Noboribetsu night into different places, dates and contracts. Putting them on one route does not turn them into one hotel experience.
The author stayed at neither Takinoya nor Bourou Noguchi, and this evidence does not establish that she visited Noboribetsu. A Lake Toya photograph cannot be presented as either facade, room, D or DW bath, suite, outlook bath, meal, service, shuttle, winter road, availability or Trip.com booking. Fixed facts below therefore come from first-party property pages, not a fabricated stay review.
Match two identities: address 162 is not address 200-1
For Takinoya, match property ID 1647140, the English name Noboribetsu Onsenkyo Takinoya and Noboribetsuonsencho 162. For Bourou, match property ID 1487991, the English identity Bourou Noguchi Noboribetsu (Adult Only) and 200-1 Noboribetsuonsencho. Sharing the same onsen town does not create one entrance, desk, room inventory, bath, restaurant or confirmation.
Search results can also contain Takinoya Bekkan, another NOGUCHI property or a Noboribetsu hotel list. A similar brand or location cannot replace the exact ID. Before payment and departure, check the ID, English name, address, telephone, full room name, main check-in guest and one confirmation together; stop when any identity does not match.
Takinoya rooms: only an explicit full room name creates an in-room open-air bath
Current Trip room cards separate AY, AW, CY and Cw rooms from D and DW names that explicitly include an open-air bath. D and DW can also differ in Japanese, Japanese-Western, bed or futon arrangement, capacity and area. The official tourism association confirms public large baths, a top-floor open-air bath and four spring types, but those shared facilities do not attach an open-air bath to every room.
Count the in-room open-air bath only when the complete room name available for the real dates and the saved confirmation both say so. Private bathroom, bathtub, the property hot-spring icon and a public bath are insufficient. If the bath is essential, ask the property to match the same room name and clarify whether it is indoors or outdoors, its water source, use conditions and maintenance; an incomplete answer is a stop.
Bourou rooms: every room is a suite with an outlook bath, not automatically an outdoor bath
The hotel’s official room page distinguishes a 50㎡ Junior Suite, 70㎡ Standard Suite and 100㎡ Luxury and Executive suites. It states that all rooms are suites and have in-room onsen baths with forest views. The exact Trip room, beds, occupancy, area, floor and rate still determine what is purchased; a Run of House card does not guarantee a named upper category.
The narrower Japanese first-party term is outlook bath, not a promise that the bath in every suite is physically outdoors. Preserve that boundary even though the English official translation uses broader wording in one place. Do not transform a window, forest view or property open-air bath into an outdoor bath in the selected room. If physical open air is mandatory, require the full room and matching written answer to say it explicitly.
Age and smoking are hard gates, not post-payment requests
Bourou’s official rule does not accept guests aged 12 or younger, including infants and toddlers. Trip also says children cannot stay, cribs cannot be added and the main check-in guest must be at least 18. Do not invent a combined rule for a 13–17-year-old companion or an all-minor party; enter real ages and obtain matching written acceptance for the exact room, occupancy and meals before payment.
Current Bourou room cards explicitly mark several named suites as smoking and a Run of House candidate as non-smoking. A request, deodorising, air purifier or public-area policy is not a non-smoking room. Keep only a candidate whose complete room, selected rate and confirmation all say non-smoking when that is essential. Apply the same exact-room check to Takinoya instead of relying on a property impression.
Compare meals, taxes and cancellation at the same level
Use equal dates, rooms and eligible guests, then choose complete rooms that satisfy the same need. If Takinoya is a D or DW open-air-bath rate, comparing it with an unspecified Bourou Run of House without aligning meals and cancellation is not equivalent. If one side includes dinner and breakfast while the other does not, or one is refundable and the other is not, label the pair non-equivalent rather than announcing a cheaper winner.
Check the selected rate and confirmation for dinner, breakfast, meal venue, arrival deadline, allergies, child meals and drinks. Hokkaido accommodation tax and Noboribetsu bathing tax are separate and may appear at checkout or on site. Use the final tax breakdown; do not infer inclusion from a headline number, room icon or article copy.
Transport is a separate contract from the room
A Trip room does not buy a JR ticket, intercity bus, hotel shuttle seat, airport transfer or a safe winter drive. Bourou’s official shuttle requires a separate online application, stops accepting reservations when seats fill, uses booking-channel-dependent fees and may not operate when there are no reservations. Save a shuttle confirmation with the correct hotel, direction, passenger names, boarding point, date, time and luggage.
Confirm Takinoya access for the actual date separately with the property and transport operator. A third-party walking time does not guarantee a snow route, luggage handling or step-free movement. Save the room first, then save each JR, bus, shuttle or parking contract. Recheck dinner arrival limits, delay contact, road closure and winter equipment before departure.
Keep one room after age, bath, smoking and transport all match
Before payment, verify property ID, English name, address, dates, real ages, main check-in guest, complete room name, beds, capacity, area, D or DW open-air bath or the Bourou suite and source-fed outlook bath, smoking status, meals, both taxes, checkout total, payment and cancellation. Stop when any hard requirement is absent from the room, rate, confirmation or a matching written reply.
If you select Takinoya, remove Bourou for the same night; if you select Bourou, remove Takinoya. Save the final booking and important replies, and retain any cancellation receipt. JR, buses, shuttle, parking, meals and activities remain separate confirmations. A page view or affiliate click is not a booking, revenue event or first-hand stay.

Did the author stay at Takinoya or Bourou Noguchi Noboribetsu?
No. The author’s first-hand records are separate Lake Toya boat rides and meals. They do not prove a Noboribetsu visit or a stay, room, onsen, meal, service, shuttle, availability or Trip.com order at either target.
Can a child aged 12 or younger stay at Bourou Noguchi?
No. The hotel’s first-party rule excludes guests aged 12 or younger, including infants and toddlers, and Trip currently says children cannot stay. A guest aged 13–17 and any all-minor party still require matching written acceptance, room capacity and meal confirmation; the main Trip check-in guest must be at least 18.
Does every Takinoya room have a private open-air onsen?
Do not assume that. Current Trip cards explicitly put an open-air bath in complete D and DW room names while AY, AW, CY and Cw are separate. A private bathroom, bathtub, property hot-spring icon or shared public bath cannot create an in-room open-air bath.
Does every Bourou suite have an outdoor open-air bath and a non-smoking room?
No. The official contract establishes suites with source-fed in-room outlook baths, not that every bath is physically outdoors. Current Trip cards also include smoking suites. Keep a non-smoking or physically outdoor condition only when the complete selected room, confirmation and a matching written reply state it.
How should I compare the real total for the two ryokan?
Use equal dates, rooms, eligible guests, complete room rights, meals and cancellation. Then compare the final checkout breakdown, Hokkaido accommodation tax, Noboribetsu bathing tax and any on-site payment in one currency. JR, buses, shuttle, parking and activities are separate; keep only one room for the same night.
