La Vista Hakodate Bay or Century Marina Hakodate?
Choose one Hakodate Station and Bay night by luggage route, Red Brick Warehouses, complete room, breakfast and shared onsen. Compare equal dates, guests and cancellation, then keep one room.

Use this guide only after deciding to stay one night between JR Hakodate Station and the Bay Area. La Vista Hakodate Bay is officially about 15 minutes on foot from the station and closer to the Red Brick Warehouses. Century Marina Hakodate is officially about 5 minutes from the station and about 2 minutes from Hakodate Morning Market. We have stayed at neither hotel. Search the same real dates, room count and ages, then compare the exact room, bed, smoking status, breakfast, shared onsen, taxes and cancellation before keeping one booking.
Each record below establishes only the experience named on its card. It is not a review, booking confirmation or evidence of rooms, baths, meals, transport or views at either target property.

The author saw Hakodate Station and the Bay Area from Mount Hakodate. This is not a stay, room direction, hotel night view, ropeway ticket or transport guarantee for either property.

The author ordered a freshly grilled pork yakitori bento in Hakodate. It is not either hotel’s breakfast, dinner, shop, room or accommodation inclusion.

Start with one fixed Hakodate Bay night
Use this comparison only after choosing the Hakodate Station and Bay Area over Goryokaku, Yunokawa or Sapporo. Write down the real dates, ages, room count, arrival transport, next-day plan, luggage, breakfast and final acceptable cancellation deadline.
La Vista and Century Marina occupy the same night but are different addresses, rooms and confirmations. Keep both pages open for comparison, then retain one order for the same travellers and night.
The 30-second answer
Start with La Vista if evening access to the Kanemori Red Brick Warehouses and Bay Area matters more than the longer walk from JR Hakodate Station. The official estimate is about 15 minutes from the station, before luggage, snow and signals.
Start with Century Marina if reducing the station and Morning Market luggage route matters more. The official estimates are about 5 minutes from JR Hakodate Station and about 2 minutes from the market. Finalise only after equal room, breakfast, tax and cancellation terms are visible.

It is not Century Marina, La Vista’s annex, a Hakodate hotel list, an official direct booking, the ropeway, a restaurant, JR, tram, airport bus, automatic transfer, breakfast or current availability guarantee.
Enter your real check-in and check-out dates, room count and every guest’s real age. Confirm property ID 703474, the English name La Vista Hakodate Bay, the Toyokawa-cho 12-6 address, complete room name, beds and widths, occupancy, area, non-smoking or heated-tobacco-floor wording, bathroom, view wording, breakfast, children, taxes, total, payment and cancellation. The official site says about 15 minutes on foot from JR Hakodate Station. Its shared natural-hot-spring baths, breakfast times and tattoo rules still require a travel-date recheck. A room does not include JR, tram, ropeway, parking or a transfer. After choosing La Vista, remove Century Marina for the same night.
Firsthand boundary: Hakodate visits, zero target stays
The author watched Hakodate from daytime through night on Mount Hakodate and ordered a freshly grilled Hasegawa Store bento on another visit. Those records help explain how a night view and made-to-order food consume time around a hotel night.
We have stayed at neither hotel and have not compared their beds, breakfast, baths, soundproofing, service or views. The owned photographs are not hotel evidence. Property differences come from official information, and payment terms come from the selected Trip.com rate.
Two Bay Area addresses create different luggage routes
La Vista is on the Toyokawa-cho and Red Brick Warehouse side. Century Marina is on the Ote-machi, station and Morning Market side. Put arrival, luggage storage, dinner, night-view return and next departure on one map in their real order.
Snow, ice, signals, crossings and lifts can change the burden. Official walking minutes are entrance estimates and exclude platforms, waiting, wrong turns and the pace of children or older travellers. Confirm actual roads and front-desk luggage rules for your dates.
La Vista: separate room, view, breakfast and top-floor onsen
La Vista publishes several room types and top-floor shared natural-hot-spring baths. On Trip.com, read the complete twin, double, Japanese-Western or other room name and confirm beds, occupancy, area, smoking wording, bathroom, child conditions and any precise view text.
A hotel-level breakfast or onsen page does not add breakfast, a view or an in-room hot spring to every rate. If the selected room and confirmation omit a right, do not borrow it from another room, a photograph or the general hotel description.
Century Marina: non-smoking rooms and high-floor baths are separate
Century Marina officially describes all rooms as non-smoking and lists multiple standard and higher room categories. Confirm the complete room, beds, occupancy, area, shower or bathroom and view rather than applying a suite photograph to the lowest available result.
The 14th-floor natural hot spring and 15th-floor open-air bath are shared hotel facilities with operating rules. They do not mean every room has a private onsen. Pillow service, breakfast and other hotel facilities also remain travel-date conditions.
Compare breakfast on equal terms
Decide whether this night really needs hotel breakfast. Compare two breakfast-included rates if you will use it, or two room-only rates if an early train, flight or Morning Market plan makes breakfast impractical.
Confirm the number of adults and children covered, opening times, queues, allergies, strict diets and take-away rules. The author’s Hasegawa Store meal is a separate restaurant record and is not part of either hotel booking.
Shared bath, open-air bath and room bathroom are not interchangeable
La Vista’s top-floor shared baths and Century Marina’s 14th- and 15th-floor facilities are different operations. Recheck water source, hours, cleaning, tattoo, child and health rules separately before travel rather than copying one property’s rules to the other.
A bathroom photograph or higher room category also cannot replace the shared-bath contract. If someone will not use communal facilities, prioritise the actual room bathroom, bed and location. If onsen is the purpose, check that arrival and breakfast leave usable time.
Compare one real total, not two starting prices
Enter the same dates, room count and real ages on both pages. Match bed type and breakfast, then record the tax-inclusive total, payment timing, cancellation, check-in, luggage and the cost of any tram, taxi or parking needed for the itinerary.
A small La Vista room-only rate and a larger Century Marina breakfast rate do not answer which hotel costs less. Search prices, discounts, ratings and remaining-room messages change, so only the complete selected contracts are comparable.
Final payment order: verify, then keep one room
First fix the one Hakodate night and real travellers. Second map station, Bay Area, Morning Market, luggage and next departure. Third compare equal complete rooms, breakfast, shared-bath rules, taxes, payment and cancellation. Recheck property ID, English name and address before paying.
After choosing La Vista, remove Century Marina for the same night; after choosing Century Marina, remove La Vista. Save the chosen confirmation and any property reply. Keep JR, tram, airport bus, ropeway, restaurants, parking and luggage delivery as separate contracts.

Hotel comparison FAQ
Have you stayed at La Vista Hakodate Bay or Century Marina Hakodate?
No. The author watched Hakodate change from daylight to night and ate a Hasegawa Store bento, but stayed at neither hotel. Those records cannot prove either room, breakfast, bath, service, soundproofing, view or booking.
Are both hotels the same walking time from JR Hakodate Station?
No. La Vista officially says about 15 minutes on foot; Century Marina says about 5 minutes. These are entrance estimates, not platform-to-room promises, and they exclude snow, luggage, signals, navigation and each traveller’s pace.
Does every room have an onsen or a Mount Hakodate view?
No. Both properties describe shared hot-spring facilities. A hotel-level onsen icon, top-floor bath or room photograph does not create an in-room natural hot spring or a guaranteed view. Use only the selected complete room wording and matching confirmation.
Does every Trip.com room include the well-known breakfast?
No. Hotel breakfast information does not add breakfast to every room rate. Compare either two breakfast-included rates or two room-only rates, and confirm every adult and child in the order.
Can I hold both rooms and cancel one later?
Only if you have checked each payment and cancellation deadline separately. The orders do not cancel one another. Once the itinerary is fixed, keep one confirmation, cancel the duplicate and save the cancellation result.
Recheck room inventory, taxes, dining, transport and cancellation with the provider before payment and departure.
