Sanyoan rooms: open-air-bath special room or another source-fed moor-onsen room?

Separate Sanyoan's source-fed moor hot spring in all 11 rooms from the two named open-air-bath special rooms, then match one complete Trip.com room and rate.

The author joined this separate tethered-balloon activity near Tokachigawa Onsen. She has not stayed at Sanyoan; this image proves no room, bath, meal, transport or Trip.com booking experience.

The short answer is not ‘all rooms are open-air.’ Sanyoan's current official pages describe source-fed moor hot spring in all 11 guest rooms, while naming only Sakura no Sono #351 and Haru no Umi #357 as open-air-bath special rooms. Keep one complete Trip.com room and rate only after its identity, bath form, real guest ages, meals, taxes, total, payment, cancellation and the unresolved arrival-address wording all agree. The author has not stayed here. A property page alone does not establish a named room, open-air bath, meal, arrival address, current price or inventory.

THREE SEPARATE TOKACHI RECORDS / ZERO STAYS AT SANYOANThe owned records belong to other Tokachi activities

They help separate an early activity, city meal and evening visit from the ryokan contract. None is evidence about Sanyoan's rooms, baths, food, service or transport.

Tokachi tethered balloon — a separate activity near Tokachigawa Onsen

The author joined this separate early-morning activity. It supplies regional timing context only and proves no Sanyoan room, bath, meal, transport, current operation or Trip.com order.

Sanyoan's official room, onsen, cuisine and access pages, Trip.com property 1647554 and Hokkaido accommodation-tax guidance were checked on 21 September 2026. Trip.com displayed Minami 13 while the official Sanyoan access/footer displayed Minami 12. This guide leaves that address difference unresolved and requires matching written property identity and arrival details before payment and travel.

01

Begin only after Sanyoan has already won

This guide does not compare Sanyoan with Seijyakubow or rank Tokachigawa Onsen ryokan. It starts after one specific night has been fixed and Sanyoan has survived the property decision. If the ryokan is still undecided, use the linked Sanyoan-versus-Seijyakubow comparison before opening a room checkout.

For every room considered here, keep the same check-in and check-out dates, room count, real guest ages and display currency. A price shown for another date or an unspecified room does not answer this purchase question. The result must be one complete room and one complete rate for the actual party.

02

Thirty-second answer: source-fed does not mean open-air

The official onsen page states that all 11 rooms receive plant-based moor hot spring from the source. That establishes the water supplied to the private room bath. It does not establish an outdoor design in all 11 rooms, and a property-level onsen icon adds no open-air entitlement to a selected room.

The official inventory places Sakura no Sono #351 and Haru no Umi #357 under the open-air-bath special-room heading. A reader who requires outdoor air should find one of those complete names and room numbers in the selected Trip.com room, checkout and confirmation. Another reader can compare a different named room without treating it as a reduced stay.

Enter the real dates, room count and every guest's real age. Match property ID 1647554, Sanyoan, the complete room and rate, room number where applicable, indoor or open-air bath, sauna only if stated, beds or futons, capacity, meals, included and locally payable taxes, checkout total, payment, cancellation and matching written arrival details. Recheck current price, availability and selling conditions on Trip.com.

03

Match property ID 1647554 and stop at the address difference

Start with Trip.com property ID 1647554, the name Sanyoan and the selected complete room. Do not substitute an Otofuke hotel list, Tokachigawa Onsen Daiichi Hotel, another Daiichi Hotel building, a nearby ryokan or a review page. Similar photographs and property-level amenities do not transfer a room contract between listings.

Trip.com displayed 13 Chome Tokachigawaonsenminami while Sanyoan's official footer and access page displayed 12 Tokachigawa Onsen Minami, both with postal code 080-0263, when checked on 21 September 2026. Do not silently choose one. Obtain matching written property identity and arrival details before payment and before building transport around either number.

04

Eleven rooms require a complete-name audit

Sanyoan's official inventory accounts for 11 rooms: Ukigumo #352, Karamatsu #355, Western rooms #253 and #256, Japanese rooms #251, #252, #255, #353 and #356, plus Sakura no Sono #351 and Haru no Umi #357. The first nine are grouped as hinoki-bath rooms; the latter two are grouped separately as open-air-bath special rooms. The official onsen page says source-fed moor hot spring reaches both groups.

Trip.com's public page may use broader English labels that omit a literary room name or number. Do not infer a number from a photograph, floor, view word or generic room type. Require a complete room label and matching written identification that connect the selected Trip.com rate to the official inventory.

05

Sakura no Sono #351 and Haru no Umi #357 keep separate rights

Sakura no Sono #351 is currently described by the official room page as a 56-square-metre, non-smoking Japanese-style room for one to three guests. Its published features include two beds plus futon bedding, an indoor source-fed hinoki bath, an open-air hinoki bath, a self-löyly sauna and a terrace. Those fields belong to #351 and describe neither #357 nor another room.

Haru no Umi #357 is currently described as a 97-square-metre maisonette across two floors for one to six guests. Its published layout includes two beds plus futon bedding, an indoor source-fed hinoki bath, an open-air bath, a self-löyly sauna and a terrace. The shared category does not make #351 and #357 equal in layout, capacity or room form.

06

Another source-fed room can be the correct choice

If the requirement is a private source-fed moor-hot-spring bath rather than outdoor air, compare another named room by its complete name or number, bath wording, beds or futons, capacity, area and non-smoking status. An indoor hinoki bath can satisfy that written requirement without borrowing the open-air or sauna rights of #351 and #357.

Ask what the group would actually lose: outdoor exposure, sauna, a particular layout, a stated capacity or only the label. If none is essential, keep the clearer complete room and rate. If a required field is missing, do not pay more for an assumed benefit or use a special-room photograph to fill the gap.

07

Beds, children and meals belong to the selected rate

Enter every guest's real age before comparing availability. Trip.com's property-level policy and Sanyoan's room capacities do not assign a bed, futon, child meal or child charge to the selected rate. Match the actual room, capacity, bedding, ages and checkout together, and never enter a child as an adult to expose inventory.

Sanyoan's cuisine page describes dinner and breakfast at the property, but it does not add two meals to every Trip.com rate. Count dinner, breakfast, dining times, drinks and dietary handling only when the complete selected rate, checkout and confirmation agree. Stop before payment when an essential allergy, child meal or serving time remains unresolved.

08

Owned Tokachi records are itinerary context, not a stay review

The author joined a tethered-balloon activity near Tokachigawa Onsen on another morning. That record can remind a traveller that an early activity has its own check-in and weather decision. It cannot establish Sanyoan's room, bath, meal, service, transport, road condition or availability, and its photograph is not a Sanyoan hero image.

She separately ate butadon at Panchou and visited Obihiro Racecourse for Ban'ei racing. Those visits can support keeping a city meal and evening activity in separate schedule blocks, but they are not ryokan dinner, hotel transport or a room test. The linked Tokachi planning hub is in Traditional Chinese; this English article remains limited to one Sanyoan room contract.

09

Compare one complete total, then arrange transport separately

Use equal dates, real ages, one complete room, the same meal level and the same cancellation standard. Record the checkout total, identify which taxes it includes and separately note any amount shown for payment at the property. Hokkaido introduced a per-person, per-night accommodation tax in April 2026; bathing tax and any municipal or on-site amount remain separate checks.

A Trip.com room is not a route-bus seat, airport transfer, taxi, parking space or flight connection. The official access page describes routes and parking, but those remain travel-date checks, particularly in winter. Preserve the unresolved Minami 12/13 address difference while confirming the arrival direction.

Final gate: one room, one written address and one rate

Before payment, match property ID 1647554, Sanyoan, matching written arrival details, stay dates, room count, every real age, complete room name, room number where applicable, indoor or open-air bath, sauna only if stated, beds or futons, capacity, non-smoking status, meals, taxes, checkout total, payment and cancellation. Save one final confirmation and remove duplicate rooms for the same night.

Stop if the selected Trip.com room cannot be matched to the official inventory, an open-air requirement cannot be tied to #351 or #357, or the property identity and address remain unresolved. Also stop updating this guide if property 1647554 changes destination, the official room system changes or the two-special-room allocation is no longer supported. Return to the linked Sanyoan-versus-Seijyakubow comparison if the ryokan itself is still undecided.

FAQ

Hotel comparison FAQ

Does every Sanyoan room have an open-air moor-onsen bath?

No. The current official onsen page says source-fed moor hot spring reaches all 11 rooms, while the room inventory separately identifies two open-air-bath special rooms. For any other room, confirm its own hinoki-bath form in the complete selected room and confirmation.

Which rooms are the open-air-bath special rooms?

The current official inventory names Sakura no Sono #351 and Haru no Umi #357. Their layouts, areas and capacities differ, so the selected Trip.com room must match the complete official identity rather than a generic photograph or amenity icon.

Can a room photograph prove that my Trip.com rate has that bath?

No. A photograph may belong to another room or the property gallery. The room card, complete rate, checkout, confirmation and matching written identification need to preserve the same bath entitlement.

Has the author stayed at Sanyoan?

No. The owned records cover a separate balloon activity, Obihiro meal and racecourse visit. They establish no Sanyoan room, bath, meal, service, transport or successful Trip.com order.

Why does the address need another check?

Trip.com displayed Minami 13 while the official Sanyoan access/footer displayed Minami 12 when checked on 21 September 2026. This guide cannot resolve the difference; obtain matching written property identity and arrival details before payment and travel.

Safe travels.
