Start with the answer: the onsen is shared, then choose the complete room
ONSEN RYOKAN is part of the property's name, but it is not a description of every guest-room bathroom. The official page identifies Karurusu hot-spring water in the shared bathing area. Its room list separately identifies either Bathtub or shower booth, and does not describe an in-room natural hot spring among the ten room types.
Enter the real dates, room count and every guest's real age before comparing inventory. Keep a room only when the complete room name, occupancy, bed or futon arrangement, floor, any required internal-layout detail and bath type all match. A lower headline price or a property-level bath photograph cannot supply a missing room right.

Use capacity and sleeping surface before floor or design
The Garden Suite accepts one or two guests, while the Family Suite and Maisonette-Double list capacity for one to four. The current high-floor Twin lists capacity up to three, but capacity is only a ceiling; it does not by itself confirm how every person will sleep. Record one sleeping surface for every guest instead of treating maximum occupancy as an extra-bed promise.
The official page states that the Family Suite and Maisonette-Double prepare futons for groups of three or more, and that the high-floor Twin prepares a futon for a group of three. Yuen's current English sources are not identical on bed-sharing ages and limits: the property note says one child under five may share without an accommodation charge, while the Q&A says children age five and younger and gives room-family limits. Enter every real age, obtain the travel-date rule in writing and require the selected rate and confirmation to agree.
Garden Suite and Family Suite share 39 m² but not the same capacity
Both official Suite types are 39 m² on the 12th floor, list one 1,800 × 1,950 mm bed and have an ordinary bathtub. The Garden Suite is for one or two guests. The Family Suite is for one to four and adds futons for a group of three or more. That capacity and sleeping-surface difference is the useful distinction; the word Suite alone is insufficient.
For one or two guests, require the complete rate to identify Garden or Family rather than assigning the name from a generic photograph. For three or four guests, keep only a Family Suite rate that preserves party size and futon arrangement through confirmation. Neither Suite's ordinary bathtub should be described as Karurusu water, a private onsen or an open-air bath.
Maisonette does not mean a room onsen; confirm its internal layout
The official Maisonette-Double is on the second floor and measures 33 m² in total, shown as 24 + 9 m². It lists one 1,600 × 1,950 mm bed, a shower booth and capacity for one to four, with futons prepared for groups of three or more. The checked official English room text does not explain how the 24 + 9 areas connect, so preserve the complete Maisonette name and these room facts without inventing an internal configuration.
The internal layout and any level change can be a deciding constraint for a young child, an older traveller, someone with limited mobility, repeated night-time movement or large luggage. Yuen's Q&A says there are some steps inside rooms but does not map that statement to a particular room in the checked text. Ask the hotel for the Maisonette's current internal layout and any step or stair when it matters; do not infer the answer from the name or assume a general lift resolves movement inside the room.
Twin, Hollywood-Twin and Corner-Twin are not interchangeable
The current official inventory separates Corner-Twin, high-floor Twin, Hollywood-Twin and Universal Twin by size, capacity, floor and bed width. Corner-Twin is 27 m² on floors 4–11 with two 1,200 mm-wide beds. The high-floor Twin is 24 m² on floors 9–11 with two 1,200 mm-wide beds and lists a futon for a three-person group. Hollywood-Twin is 24 m² on floors 3–8 with two 1,000 mm-wide beds, while Universal Twin is 27 m² on the third floor with two 1,000 mm-wide beds.
Keep the complete official-type wording when a floor band, capacity or bed width matters. Do not interpret Twin, corner or high floor as a specific city view, a quieter position or an unobstructed outlook. A review photograph may help formulate a question, but it does not add view wording to the selected rate or confirmation.
A guest-room bathtub is not Karurusu onsen water
The Garden Suite and Family Suite list Bathtub as their guest-room bath type. The official property page separately says the shared bath uses thermal water transported from Karurusu Onsen in Noboribetsu. Keep those statements separate in the room table, booking checklist and confirmation: an ordinary bathtub is in the room; Karurusu hot-spring water belongs to the shared facility.
Use four distinct labels when reviewing a rate: ordinary bathtub, shower booth, shared onsen and, only if a source explicitly states it, private onsen. The current Yuen Sapporo room inventory does not supply the fourth label. Do not add natural-hot-spring, open-air or source-water wording to a room because the property has an onsen elsewhere in the building.
The shared onsen has its own operating contract
The official property page checked on 21 September 2026 listed the shared onsen from 15:00 to 01:00, with last entry at 00:45, and from 06:00 to 10:00, with last entry at 09:45. It listed sauna hours of 15:00 to 00:00 and 06:00 to 09:00. These are time-sensitive facility details, not fixed room entitlements, so check the official onsen page and any travel-date notice again.

Yuen's official access page estimates an eight-minute walk from Odori Station Exit 1, a thirteen-minute walk from JR or subway Sapporo Station Exit 10 and an eight-minute walk from the underground walkway's Exit 8. These are route estimates. They do not include a train, airport bus, taxi, luggage transfer, snow-free pavement or a fully indoor path to the entrance.
Test the route against luggage, mobility, weather and arrival time before paying. Tax-inclusive total, payment and cancellation decide the final room
Compare the tax-inclusive checkout total for the same dates, rooms, guest ages, meal level and cancellation flexibility. Check how Hokkaido and Sapporo accommodation taxes, any applicable bathing tax and any local collection are displayed; also verify display currency, payment currency, card charge timing and prepayment.
